Jane Rea
a bit about me…
Hi!
I help people untangle the messy, confusing, beautifully complicated parts of being alive. Whether you’re navigating relationships, healing old wounds, or trying to feel more like yourself, I’m here for all of it!
My appreciation for therapy started in my own counselling sessions as a young person, where I learned what it feels like to be truly seen and supported. That experience shaped everything about how I show up as a therapist today.
I know reaching out can feel scary or awkward, and my goal is to make it feel a little less so. My approach is trauma-informed and attachment-based, blending evidence-backed practices with an authentic, down-to-earth vibe. I help people peel back the layers, spot the patterns that keep them stuck, and reconnect with their own clarity and weird, wonderful wisdom.
Life outside the “office”
When i’m not working with people in the counselling space, you’ll probably find me on the trails hiking, exploring a new country, biking along the sea wall, or drinking coffee in the sunshine. I also foster dogs and am guardian to one, Rex, a street dog from Mexico, which has become one of the most unexpectedly meaningful parts of my life. Caring for animals with their own histories of fear and history has shown me, again and again, how attachment and trauma shape all beings, and how connection, patience, and gentleness create the conditions for real safety.
